Prayagraj. Peepal, Banyan and Neem absorb the most carbon dioxide. They made us realize the true concept of life by imagining a treeless earth. Free oxygen is obtained from a green environment. Nature can be made green by planting trees in pots in cities. This idea was expressed by Dr. Anita Tomar, Scientist Eco-Rehabilitation Center Prayagraj as the chief guest on the occasion of the World Environment Day 2025 campaign organized at Vikas Vidyalaya under the joint aegis of Vishwa Yuvak Kendra, B
Vasera and Vikas Vidyalaya. She told that more plastic waste was removed from the fair during the Maha Kumbh event. Everyone should contribute to building a plastic-free society. People should take cloth or jute bags before going to the market and ask the shopkeeper not to give goods in polythene bags. Prayagraj can be made plastic-free by everyone joining.
On this occasion, the chief guest Dr. Tomar awarded certificates to the successful students of essay, painting and speech competitions organized in various schools on the topic of Remove Plastic, Save Environment. He awarded the Environment Prahari Award to Dr. Yogesh Chandra, Dilip Kumar Awasthi, Pratibha Singh, Satyaprakash Tiwari, Vedanand वेद, Alam Bhai, Rajendra Tiwari, Umashankar Gupta, Abbas Sabina, Pawanesh Upadhyay, Rajendra Tiwari Dukan ji, Prasanna ghosh etc. for their contribution in the field of environmental protection.

First of all, Vasera’s secretary Devendra Kumar Sharma told that Vishwa Yuvak Kendra and Varera run a World Environment Day 2025 campaign from 5 June to 5 July and conducted tree plantation and plastic free Prayagraj awareness campaign in various schools and villages of the district. School Principal Satya Prakash Tiwari welcomed everyone. 151 medicinal plants were planted in the school campus.
